Bound for the
Promised Land?

When the roll call sounds
up yonder who will assemble?

All faithful in word and deed,
honest in heart and spirit,
and true to God’s Law.

“ Blessed are the clean of heart:
for they shall see God”

Repentant sinners, reformed
criminals, the non-believers,
the deceivers, the cheats,
those who scorn, souls in
mourn, spirits torn.

“Blessed are the poor in spirit:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

The oppressed, the repressed,
the dispossessed, the tortured,
the sick and disabled, the unstable.

“Blessed are they that suffer
persecution for justice' sake,
for theirs is the kingdom
of heaven”

Euphoric Sleep
Bright and warm, euphoric sleep
blankets me overtaking REM sleep.
Joyfully lifting my spirit beyond
the hear and now.

Willingly, I go, for it beckons
to ease my aching body from
its rigid lockdown.

No form of time or measure can
define its power. With a stroke
like a mystical hand, it sweeps past,
a cool fragrance lingers.

I wake full and energized,
feeling not satisfied, but blessed

Glory or Damnation

But tomorrow there'll be Hell to pay

salvation, freeing us from the mire of our sin
and shameful indulgences.

Prudence, temperance, courage, justice.

These are cardinal virtues of life.
Equally important to all people.

Kyrie, eleison... ... Feed the hungry,

give drink to the thirsty. ..

Liberate tutime ex Inferno!

There will be Hell to pay. Indifference, ignorance,

intolerance, intemperance, injustice, bigotry, hate,

cruelty, vengence, immorality, devil-worship,

physical, psychological and sexual abuse.

There will be Hell to pay. HIV-AIDS, genocide,

The Holocaust, torture, ethnic cleansing, pedophilia,

homosexuality, pornography,

Love, Hope, Faith, Charity: All these define

the essential nature of God.

Christe, eleison! Give shelter

to strangers, clothe the naked.

Humility, Kindness, Abstinence, Chastity,

Patience, Liberality, Diligence. These are the
protections against the seven deadly sins.

Kyrie, eleison…Visit the sick,

minister to prisoners, bury the dead.
